THE MAGIC FOREST OF CEREUS
A spectacular light installation by the artists Romain Tardy and Squeaky Lobster at the Ethnobotanical Garden Oatxaca in Mexico illuminates a magic and enchanted forest of Cereus that seems to live.
Let’s leave for a moment our usual and earnest insights about the sowing, cultivation techniques, soils and about everything that concerns our spiny friends; today we want to focus on the spectacle created by figurative artists Romain Tardy and Squeaky Lobster at the ethnobotanical garden of Oatxaca, Mexico.
From the fusion of imaging and decoration techniques (Romain) and accompanying music (Squeaky) a true work of art was born, named "The Ark" and exhibited during the event Proyecta Oaxaca (International Festival of the design and digital arts).
The light beams projected at regular intervals along the cactus line that defines the boundary of the garden seems to animate the plants of Cereus and give them a magic appearance: you can’t miss it.
