The unique and amazing attempt of Andreas Malzahn during an episode of the German version of the "Bet that ...?"
A really amazing test for Andreas Malzahn, bold and brave competitor in "Wetten dass ...?", the German version of the european TV format "Bet that ...?". Blindfolded, Andreas was able to guess the species of succulent plant to which he was subjected, simply tasting spines with his tongue. Well, yes: someone loves tasting wines, someone prefers oil, beer or honey. None of this seemed to be too difficult to Andreas who, in front of Michelle Hunziker, presenter of the TV program, guessed the four cactus randomly selected among the 33 pots in the studio. No secrets for him: starting with a Mammillaria mammillaris, then a Stenocactus crispatus, he recognised then also a Gymnocalycium baldianum and a Thelocactus (from the greek word "thele", nipple): was it perhaps an authors' joke?
